Its been a while since I last did a blog. As of late I have been doing allot of digital art of the spirits. I get ideas and lots of inspiration. I know my art isn't as advanced or polished as the professionals out there but in my eyes they look amazing.
I get so worked up to draw the spirits and I see in each drawing I learn new techniques and get better.
These days I have been cleaning up and throwing allot of things away. My plans for this sunday is to clean my altar and wash my mouchwas, altar, statues, plates etc.
Ogou with his machete and his fire to heat him up. You can always count on Papa Ogou to get things done !

2017 was a good year for me now I am ready to make 2018 a even greater year for me !
I was on my winter break even though here on my island we don't have seasons we only have one which is heat !
In the vacation the first week I did very little didn't move much and the altar had no candle burning on it thus the spirits were on a "break" ( Manman is never on a break đŸ˜‰ ).
The second week of my vacation I was doing something with my lwa but not much the usual.
I am no longer afraid to continue to study in a different country. I am getting ready to get set and hopefully GO !
This year like the other few years I did my cleansing bath and my good luck bath.
Tried cleaning the altars but I need to really clean them instead of just passing a cloth over it.
I need to focus on my school for now the spiritual comes later even the lwa have to remind me of this and also my papa. I have a tendency of getting too caught up in the spiritual and forget the physical.
This is my year I know what I need to do. Do you know what you need to do ?
Im writting this little blog at 9:45 am I woke up at like 8 something at this time I would be asleep.
I had a dream interesting enough to wake me up and not let me go back to sleep.

At this time I would be asleep and would most likely wake up around 11-1pm cause I go to sleep at like 3-5 am in the morning.
This is what 40% of my summer has been the rest is waking up at 6:00 for work.
I worked very hard this summer it was a summer that had lots of movements and hard work.
The pharmacist at the Pharmacy I did my intern at offered me a job to work there on days I can.
I wanted to work like 1-2 days but ended up working more than I thought.
This really helped me gather funds for Kanzo.
Godwilling I get to kanzo. If the spirits want you to kanzo they will make a way by the grace of God.

These few months the lwa have been comming very close and started to reveal things to me which is helping me allot.
I cant delve into what the lwa reveal as there are secrets and not really meant for the public and I have keep and respect that.
This weekend I was on a mini vacation with some school friends at a hotel it was super fun !
Friday we went out to eat and then we went to the beach and stayed till around 1:00 am just casually talking on the beach late at night.
You know me I have to talk to my Lwa that reside in the ocean as I wasnt home no candle was burning for any spirit besides a particular spirit. I did miss them even though they go wherever I go.I take a bit of the water wash my hands and feet to cleanse myself sing a little song for them.

The next day I wake up make food for me and my friend mind you we are still at the hotel. After I made food I go through my email and some messages. I go and take a nap for about an hour or so. My spirits come in my dream two of my spirits. I wont go into detail of my dream. I am home now.
Its monday so I take care of my ancestors I give them fresh water light a candle for them and my Madama who I serve with my ancestors. I light some incense like three kings or I make a special blend if the week was a bit heavier than usual. I go through out my room and and also all my altars.

I dont burn incense for everyone cause some dont like it. Incense to me helps to keep a spiritual flow and also keep certain things you really dont want away far away. I say my prayers while I burn my incense.
This was a lovely weekend.

This year and the last few weeks have been good its about 12 am right now cant sleep. I am fortunate to work when I can. I ordered a doll for one of my lwa it came in today and let me tell you its beautiful. The doll kinda smells like vanilla. At the moment I am near my altar writing this the presence of the lwa is undeniably here and strong !
I get to rest for a week or so before my last year of school starts after that I dont know how or if I even have the guts to continue my studies. Being on my own doesn't scare me but the going to a somewhat foreign land kinda does. Plus Haiti is like a 150-250 dollar flight away.
Me and my pops have been planning big things and I am always telling my spirits to make it happen cause when I ask them for things they make it happen and fast. I am always thanking and also show my gratitude to my spirits. I do have something I promised and also they ask me I will get them soon for them god willing.
Back to the going to a foreign country. I cant wait to finish school yet I am terrified when it does my dream is to be a Pharmacist literally lol if you get that serious joke. It will take me a minimum of 10 years of intense studying. I love studying but I am also lazy and also where I am going is there enough space for all my spirit and its going to be a big big change for them and me.
Where I dream I wouldn't say plan is cold and also fire alarm aka devils siren.
Ogou is gonna need lots of blankets cause its gonna get super cold. Also it rains allot so thats gonna be a problem its never clear 70% of the year its cloudy. I am ranting I know sorry but a little not sorry bout it.
